Just wondering if any one has been tattooing a client and has hit a small piece of skin and the skin just shed off. Im using Starbrite Inks USA from papillon supply and Intenze also. I have notice this happened with purple from Intenze on one client but healed fine.

My problem was I mixed Starbrite black and white to make my tones of grey, I hit a small area about 2 cm by 2 cm in a portrait I was working on the skin instantly shed and it bled a bit than normal. This was over 3 months ago and the customer still hasn't healed fully. Im no scratcher Im a full time tattooist at Bohemian Tattoo Arts and you can check my gallery at www.bohemiantattooarts.com under Louis.

Any else had this problem?? It has baffled me!!

I think every client reacts differently. I only use intenze ink and for 99.9% of my clients I have no problems. I have had 2 or 3 out of hudreds of clients, coming back with problems. Some from white ink or from red or purple like u said. Little scabbies that weren't healed after like 2 months. I think it's reactions to the ink but it could also be improper after care or a blood disorder they neglected to tell you about. I wouldn't worry if it doesn't happen all the time just make sure never to use that same color on that person again just to be safe.

Ive always been told to stay away from any of there reds or purples. I used there silver pallet and the one that had a purple tint did exactly what you described. The entire tattoo healed fine. I used fusion for the entire thing minus the silver purple. Any of the silver purple from intense dropped out and took a layer of skin with it, Really strange never seen it before. This is a costumer I have been tattooing every month for the last year with out a hitch until that happened.
